The health benefits of home sauna use have been making headlines in the past few years. Recent clinical studies show that regular sauna bathing can reduce cardiac, all-cause mortality by up to 40%, simply by using a sauna 4 to 7 times per week.
Saunas are now being promoted as a game-changing performance enhancer, life extension tool, and overall path to wellness. Whether you are an elite athlete, weekend warrior, working parent or enjoying your golden years, sauna therapy has a variety of benefits to offer.

As an added benefit, you’ll never have to step foot in the questionable gym sauna ever again!

Buying a sauna is a direct investment in your future self and well being. How much is a greater state of well being and healthier life worth to you?
Using a Saunas.org Infrared Sauna will use about 2-3KW per hour to run. Let’s make a crude estimation of energy costs. In most states, the average cost per KW is $0.12 so using your sauna for 2 hours would cost you approximately $0.48 – $0.72 per day which translates into $14.40 – $21.60 if used 30 days a month.
Renting time at a sauna costs from $30-$45 per 45 minute session and you aren’t the only one using that sauna. For regular sauna users, this represents a tremendous savings and convenience.
Immediate Results and Sauna Benefits Reported by Home Sauna Owners:
Reduce stress by releasing endorphins.

Maintain healthy skin by opening your skin pores regularly while in a relaxed state. Reduce tension in the face that can lead to wrinkles over time while simultaneously enhancing cellular growth by bringing nutrients to the epidermis.
Relief from sinus congestion and symptoms of the common cold, throat ailments and headaches by opening up blood flow and increasing oxygen levels.
Home Infrared Saunas vs Conventional Sauna
The cabin temperature in a Conventional Sauna (Water/Steam) will range from 150-200 degrees Fahrenheit and generally involves pouring water over hot rocks to produce steam. If you have a low heat tolerance, you may find this level of heat intolerable. This also results in very hot air in the sauna cabin, which can make it difficult to breathe. In spite of the sauna itself heating to high temperatures, the ambient temperature does not permeate more than a few millimeters of your skin. You can never achieve the same depth of penetration in a Conventional Sauna that infrared light can achieve.
Infrared Saunas use a wavelength of light to permeate tissue and heat the body. Your body produces infrared heat already, and it exists in the environment around us. The sun produces infrared heat, along with a few other wavelengths like ultraviolet, which are not beneficial in large doses. Saunas.org’s Infrared Saunas use carbon and ceramic to make the same infrared wavelength shown to be beneficial to humans and accelerate healing and energy production in cells.
Our home saunas will heat up in about 15 minutes to 110-120 degrees Fahrenheit. At these temperatures your full body will sweat in about 20-30 minutes. Any amount of infrared is beneficial, not just the levels of sweating. You have a lot more control in an Infrared Sauna over the temperature of the cabin than you do in a Conventional Sauna. You do not need to heat the Infrared Sauna to the maximum temperature of 150 degrees Fahrenheit to receive health benefits.
“I Owe My Life to the Infrared Sauna”
After spending my youth as an elite international level tennis player and long distance runner, at the age of 24 I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. This discovery and regular use of the broad spectrum infrared sauna gave me the gift of my life. My body was able to detoxify the accumulation of lactic acid and relax out of the fight or flight state it had become accustomed to. After six months of use I was able to walk and engage in the normal everyday activities of a young mother. Today there is no evidence of chronic fatigue. I live in a healthy body filled with youthful vitality. I owe my life to the broad spectrum infrared sauna and will be eternally grateful for the technological inspiration of Saunas.org.

Upkeep & Maintenance
Infrared saunas require very little maintenance. Cleaning the floor or wiping down the glass and seats with a diluted water and vinegar solution every few uses is the extent of the required maintenance. Most sauna users place a towel under them and one on the floor as a mat.

What the Experts Say
A study on the association between sauna use and certain kinds of mortality showed those using a sauna as many times saw a 40% reduction in all-cause mortality. Another study showed sauna use 4-7 times a week improved cardiovascular-related mortality by 50% and Alzheimer’s Disease risk is reduced by 67%.
Dr. Rhonda Patrick
Infrared saunas emit the same rays that come from the sun and filters out the UV radiation, so it only gives you the infrared radiation. That radiation that’s infrared goes a little bit into your skin so, without heating you up and the external environment too much, it heats the body up. The reason infrared saunas work so well is because you won’t hurt your lungs if you take a deep breath. People can be comfortable in there.
Dr. Oz
Saunas and sweat baths have been used by various cultures throughout history to flush out toxins and disease and maintain optimal physical and mental health. Saunas and particularly infrared saunas can also play a big role in preventing or reversing cancer.
